U.S. To Close Solar Tariff Loophole, China Opens Domestic Market
On October 26, 2012, the State Grid Corporation of China issued a file called The opinion of distributed generation connecting to the power grid services. According to the opinion, starting from November 1st, 2012, the distributed photovoltaic power generation projects with less than 6 MW installed capacity will be allowed to connect to the national grid at no extra service charge.

China's 100 New Energy Demonstration Cities - Opens The Door To The Third Industrial Revolution
On September 4th, 2012, the National Energy Administration of China (NEA) held a national conference in Yunnan province. More than 300 officials from 23 provinces, 5 autonomous regions and 4 municipalities were invited. Compared with the massive meeting, the officials thought the meetings topic of how to build a new energy demonstration city was kind of obsolete. But the ambitious NEA does not think so, because China will start to develop 100 new energy demonstration cities. Is this an armchair strategy, or an attempt of electricity industrial revolution in China?

Energy Storage in China
Energy storage is essential for support the developing smart grid, renewable energy, distributed generation, microgrid and electric vehicle technologies. The application of energy storage runs through many links of a power system from generation, distribution and consumption. However, the industrialization of energy storage is still in its early stages in China. This makes the most likely areas for deploying energy storage applications the consumer based distributed generation, microgrid and supplementary services.

From Strong to Smart, China's Updated Smart Grid Roadmap
The U.S. - China Smart Grid Dialogue, sponsored by the National Energy Administration of China (NEA), the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency, was held on June 28, 2012 in Shenzhen, China. At the meeting, NEA has for the first time given a clear answer to China's smart grid definition, characteristics and the current development focuses.
